1、About XJTLU西浦简介

Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is an international higher education institution, jointly founded by Xi’an Jiaotong University, China and the University of Liverpool, UK in 2006 as the result of a strong-strong cooperation. As an independent Sino-Foreign cooperative university, it captures the essence of both prestigious parent universities and is the first and only one of its kind to be approved by the Ministry of Education in China.

Ø PhD Programme博士课程

Doctoral studies are based on carrying out projects in various research areas. We offer doctoral research projects in 12 academic departments at XJTLU. These departments include:博士学习以进行不同领域的课题研究为主, 目前西浦有12个系设有各大领域的研究课题。这些系包括：

· Duration: 3-4 years for full-time students; 4-8 years for part-time students;

· Co-supervisors: XJTLU Primary supervisor and UoL secondary supervisor;

· Research/study Visit funded by XJTLU and UoL;

· Conference Travel funded by XJTLU .

o 修业年限: 全日制学生3-4年，非全日制学生4-8年;

o 博士生实行双导师制， 西浦导师为主，利物浦导师为辅;

o 可公费在英国利物浦大学研究学习1-3个月;

o 可公费参加国内及国际性学术会议，发表学术成果。

3、Academic Requirement 学业要求

· UK: Bachelor’s degree with upper second class honours;

· China: Bachelor’s degree from the 1st or 2nd tier universities: 75% or 80% above;

· Other regions: equivalent academic qualification.

o 英国：二级甲等(平均70分)或以上，荣誉学士学位;

o 中国：本一或本二批次高校，本一批次平均75分以上，本二批次平均80分以上;

o 其他地区： 同等条件的成绩证明。

4、English Language Requirements 英语语言要求

· Minimum overall band 6.5 in IELTS with over 6.0 on any individual component;

· Minimum 230 on computer-based TOEFL test or minimum 88 on Internet-based TOEFL test;

· Native speakers of English and those who obtained entry qualification in English do NOT need to provide evidence of English proficiency.

o 雅思6.0-6.5 或以上，且听说读写各项得分均在6.0分或以上;

o 托福机考230分以上，网考88分以上;

o 英语为母语的学生以及本科或硕士学位课程为全英文授课的学生，一般无须提供英语能力证明。

5、Scholarships 奖学金

Ø Master Scholarships 硕士奖学金

· XJTLU offers a generous scholarship of 50% of total tuition fee, based on academic merit.

· If you apply before 1st April 2014, you will automatically be considered for the graduate scholarship, and no separate application is required.

· Note: No scholarships are currently offered for the International MBA programme.

o 奖学金为学费的 50%。

o 如在2014年4月1日前提交申请，奖学金委员会将自动审核申请者资料，对于条件符合者择优授予奖学金。

o 注意：国际 MBA 课程目前不设奖学金。

Ø Doctoral Scholarships 博士奖学金

· Available for full-time doctoral students at XJTLU

· Awarded on academic merit

· Cover tuition fee and a monthly stipend of RMB 3,500 for three years

o 所有全日制学生可申请西浦博士奖学金

o 是否授予奖学金取决于学生的学业成绩

o 博士奖学金包括每年学费和每月人民币3, 500元的补助

6、Tuition Fee 学费

Ø Master Fees硕士课程学费

· RMB 90,000-15,000/total for full-time students 全日制学生 ：总计人民币9万到15万

· RMB 90,000-32,000/total for part-time students 非全日制学生： 总计人民币9万到32万

Ø Doctoral Fees博士课程学费

· RMB 80,000/year for full-time students 全日制学生 ：人民币8万/年

· RMB 60,000/year for part-time students 非全日制学生： 人民币6万/年
